Sisters and Friends: a Photo Shoot

Chrissa and I realized that it had been a long time since we had done a photo shoot together, so we started looking for the "perfect" chance.  That chance came last night, just as the sun was setting.  We selected some of our favorite pictures, eighteen in total.

I hope you all enjoyed these pictures as much as Chrissa and I do.

My Baking Disaster

Hi all! Today, after I finished school, I decided to bake some cookies.  After all, Elizabeth had made them thousands of times, so hard can it be?
"Chrissa, Mother's taking me shopping.  We'll be back in a few hours."  Elizabeth told me as she walked out the door.
"Okay!  See you then!" I shouted back.  After I finished mixing the cookie batter,  I rolled out the dough, cut out fun shapes, placed them on a cookie sheet, and stuck it in the oven.  While they were backing, I went upstairs.
"O-o!  Jlove and Our AG Adventures have new posts!  I've got to check them out."
"What's that sound?" I wondered.  "Oh! It's the oven!"  And with that, I ran down the stairs.
Taking the cookies out of the oven, I found they were perfectly cooked.
I frosted the sugar cookies, sprinkled on sprinkles,
and took a big bite.  "A-A! THIS IS HOT!  WHERE'S SOME WATER?!" Scrambling for a cup, I finally found one and quickly stuck it under the faucet.
"That's a relief."  I said, taking gulp after gulp of refreshing, cold water.
"I'll just have to through these cookies away." I said, as I dropped them in the trash can.
"Ug, what a disaster!"  I said, flopping onto the bed.
"We're back!" Elizabeth called, walking in the door.
"Sugar!  I bought something for you!" Elizabeth said.  Sugar rased down the stairs to see what it was.
"It's a pet carrier.  Do you like it?" Elizabeth asked her pooch.  Sugar yapped happily.
"I'm glad."  Elizabeth said, smiling.
Elizabeth came upstairs, and I came downstairs.
"Where are the cookies you were going to make, Chrissa?"  Elizabeth asked.
"Well," I said, "You see, they were to spicy.  But I followed the instructions, so why did they turn out so hot?"
"I don't know." Elizabeth said, puzzled.  "What ingredients did you use?" she asked suspiciously.
"The normal, flour, sugar, cinnamon..." I started, taking out the ingredients.  Elizabeth picked up and smelled the sugar and flour, and then put them back down.  But when she smelled the cinnamon, Elizabeth chocked.
"Chrissa," Elizabeth said between coughing spurts, "this is the grated jalapeno peppers that Mother uses for making guacamole."
"Oh." I said, because that was all I could think of to say.
I learned a valuable lesson today.  Things are not always what they seem.

Kit and McKenna are Moving to Florida!

I've got exciting news!  Our cousins, Kit and McKenna, are moving to Florida this week!  They're moving to Orlando, not St. Augustine, but Orlando is a whole lot closer than Colorado.  Chrissa and I are so excited!

A New Member Joins Our Club!

Hi all!  This morning, Julie came over to see us, and she brought her new friend, Saige.  Saige decided that she wanted to join our club, S.A.H.O.  So, Julie, Elizabeth, and I had a meeting to vote if she should join us or not.
"Saige, would you mind leaving for a minuet while we vote?" Elizabeth asked politely.
"Um ... sure." Saige said.

"All in favor of Saige joining S.A.H.O. say 'I'" Elizabeth started.
 "I" Julie said, smiling.
 "I" I agreed.
"I" Elizabeth finished.  "Saige?  You can return."
Looking a little bit nervous, Saige came back and sat on a poof.
"The vote was unanimous, you're in!" I told Saige happily.
"Every one put on the official S.A.H.O. leis." Julie said.
"Official S.A.H.O. leis?" Elizabeth said, surprised. "Where did that come from?"
"Well ..." Julie started, looking guilty, "The vote was unanimous ..."
Interrupting their conversation, I asked "Like this?"
"Oh, Chrissa you're so goofy!" Julie laughed.  "Let's all say the official S.A.H.O. oath."
Leaning towered Julie, I whispered "Julie, we don't have an oath."  Quickly glanceing at Saige, then turning back to me, she replied, "We'll just make one up."
"Repeat after me: we promise that we will protect S.A.H.O.'s members," Julie said, trying to look official.
"I promise that I will protect S.A.H.O.'s members," we all chanted.
"Help to clean up the club house,"
"Help clean up the club house,"
"And keep the club member's secrets."
"And keep the club member's secrets." we all finished.
Putting the lei over Saige's head, Elizabeth said, " Saige, you are now a member of S.A.H.O."  Saige smiled, making Elizabeth, Julie, and I smile too.
S.A.H.O. gained a new member, and I made a new friend.
