Pictures on Daytona Beach

Hello, lovely readers!  A few weeks ago, we were in Daytona Beach (as Chrissa mentioned in her last post) and I took many pictures on the beach.  I picked some of my favorites to share with you, as I know that many people are experiencing snow.
Enjoy!
(P.S. If you want to see any of the pictures larger, just click on it.)

Puppy Love: a Photoshoot

Yesterday (Tuesday) Chocolate Chip and I played in the backyard.
 "Come here, my sweet puppy!"

After our cuddle, Chocolate Chip, with a mischievous look on her furry face,  jumped on to my head and stole my sunglasses!
"You come back with my sunglasses!" I yelled after my running doggie.
But I wasn't a gymnast for nothing.  I did a flip and landed on top of Chocolate Chip.  Gotcha!
Laughing, I said "If you wanted to wear them, you should have just said so."
 Isn't she the cutest thing?

Walking away from the last picture, I tripped over my running dog.
"Oh! Chocolate Chip!" I screamed.  Looking reproachful, the furry canine licked my face softly.  "Oh, Chocolate Chip." I said, in a much different tone.
How could you not love a dog like that?
P.S. There's only four more days to enter our photo contest!  So enter soon!

July 22-26: Our Week at Yellowstone National Park

First of all, I appreciate your patience as I wrote this post.  I know it's over two weeks since Chrissa last posted.
We had a great time in Yellowstone National Park!  We hiked, took many pictures (that's part of the reason that you had to wait so long for this post), waded across mountain streams, breathed fresh mountain air, ate picnic lunches in the park, and, most of all, gasped at astonishing views.
Sunday, July 21, we drove 300 miles and stayed at a Holiday Inn.
The next day, Monday, we drove through Grand Teton National Park on our way (the mountains at the top of the picture); and gladly arrived in Yellowstone.
Tuesday Chrissa and I enjoyed the park.  We hiked to Wrath Falls (1&2); gobbled up lunch (well, at lest Chrissa did) by a river (3); saw Mammoth Hot Springs (4&5); stopped by Gibben Falls (6,7&8); and lastly briefly glanced at Sheepeater cliff (9&10).

On Wednesday, we witnessed many interesting things, including a bison walking right in front of our car!  We also saw beautiful Tower Falls.
Thursday obviously not the only day we saw waterfalls and rivers, but that's the main thing that we looked at.  Inspiration Point was not very inspiring, because the part where you saw the beautiful view had fallen off in a earthquake.
Our last day in the Park, Friday, we spent our time around Old Faithful area.  (From top to bottom, left to right): A waterfall (I don't remember the name); Celestine Pool; Clepsydra Geyser, Silex Spring, Old Faithful; and Old Faithful Lodge (where we had lunch).
That was our amazing week at Yellowstone National Park.

Extra Pictures from the Pool

Warning: lots of pictures. (17 to be exact.)
As I was browsing though our camera photos form our time with Liberty, I saw the many of the pictures from our swimming adventure were not featured on our blog.  So I decided to show them to you.
(Note: you may have seen a few of these photos before from Our Forth of July post)
First off, we have some individual pictures, starting off with lovely Chrissa.

Next, our sweet cousin, Liberty.

Finally, me.

Here are some photos of us together.

Chocolate Chip, Caramel, and Sugar.  Our dogs are friends too!
"See," Chrissa said, "all you have to do is put your arms and legs together like a torpedo and jump in!  Here, I'll show you."  And with that Chrissa jumped off the side and gracefully did a pencil dive into the water.
She surfaced, and started swimming toward the opposite side.
"You try, Libby!"
"Here I go." my cousin said nervously.  She dove in. She did it wonderfully.
"Superb job, Liberty!" I congratulated.
"Thanks!"
Caramel and Chocolate Chip went swimming with us.
When it was time to go, they left paw tracts everywhere!
I hope you enjoyed our pictures.
