Garage Sales and the Library

Hi all!  This morning, my mom took Elizabeth and I garage saleing (if that's even a word)!  I found some neat stuff, namely ...
... a American Girl doll-sized horse, a set little dog figures, and a neck pillow, which will good for traveling.  Elizabeth just got some fabric.  By the time we got home, it was lunch time, so we sat down and ate.  Then, we packed up our books and headed to the library!
Upon we walking inside, my sister immediately went to look for some book series about princesses.  Mom and I returned the books we were done reading.  Then we went our separate ways to get new books!
Usually, I just meander down the isles, grabbing anything that looks interesting.
"Did you find any good books?" Mom asked later.
"I hope so." I smiled.  Elizabeth walked over, carrying two bags full of books, and looking perfectly happy.
"I'm set until next week." she said, making both of us laugh.
Then we all checked out, and hopped in the car.
"Shotgun!" I called, jumping into the passenger seat.
As a special treat, Mom took Elizabeth and I to the McDonald's drive-through.  I got a strawberry shake, of course.
I can't wait to start reading!
Do you like going to the library?

My Summer Goals

Hi all!  Okay, so it's not "officially" summer yet (according to my calender), but it feels that way to me.  So, I outlined 10 of the things I want to do this summer.
#1 Go on Vacation, preferably to North Carolina.
#2 Read more books than Elizabeth. I've tried to every summer, but some how she always wins.  It's fun anyway, though.
#3 Make new stuff for my AG dolls.  They could use some summer outfits. ;^)
#4 Eat loads of summer fruit like pineapple, watermelon, kiwi, and most importantly STRAWBERRIES!!!!!!!
#5 Swim as often as I can drag my family and friends down to the pool with me.  Even though I'm 11, I still can't go alone!
#6 Have sleepovers with all the friends that can come to my house.
#7 Bombard my pen pals (and besties, when I'm on that NC vacation) with 10-paragraph letters.
 #8 Call out-of-state friends.
#9 Buy this adorable outfit to do it all in.
#10 Avoid the Florida humidity as much as possible, taking refuge in the pool or behind a giant fan as necessary.
What do you want to do this summer?

A Book and a Letter

Hello, lovely readers!  I have been having a wonderful day, because first of all, we ate out for lunch, and secondly, Mother took Chrissa and I to the library!  I love going to our library, because it has so many books.  To me, it is so exciting to step through those library doors.
When we returned home, I opened a book and started reading.  Suddenly, Chrissa started singing Let It Go from the Disney movie Frozen.
"Let it go; let it go!
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn my back and slam the door!"  my sister blared loudly.
"Chrissa?  Could you please quiet down?" I encouraged.  "I'm reading."
"You would be singing too if you knew why I am." Chrissa hinted.
"Why are you singing, then?"
"Because ... we got letters from Libby and Marie-Grace!  Eee!"  Chrissa exclaimed, continuing to sing.
"Really?" I asked, setting down my book ...
... and curiously heading down the stairs.
"Of course!  Here's yours." my dancing sister said, shoving a envelope in my outstretched hand.
Quickly sitting down, Chrissa and I read the long-anticipated letters.  E-mails are nice, but there is no replacement for a hand-written note.
What excites you?
