By the Pool - a Photo Shoot

Hello!  Today, you have the honor of reading a post written by me - Georgia!  Elizabeth and Chrissa said they didn't mind if I did a post on their blog, so here I am.  Since I'm not much of a writer, you'll mostly just enjoy the pictures.
Last week, my parents went on a cruise to the Virgin Islands for their wedding anniversary, so my sisters and I stayed with our grandparents.  Their condo has a pool, as you can see, so I went down to use it,
 . . . wearing my new swimsuit!

I borrowed Chrissa's sunglasses, but it was so cloudy I really didn't need them.

Still, I like the way they look on me. ;)

You might be asking, Why weren't you swimming?  The truth is, it was a lot colder than I thought, so about the farthest I got was my ankles.

 Palm tree!
Oh, Elizabeth and Chrissa usually end with a question.  Well, here's one for you:
Would you like it if I posted every so often?

At Hilton Head!

Hello, lovely readers!  We spent our fall break in Hilton Head, South Carolina.  We drove there on Friday (it took about four hours), and meet up with our friend Kanani Thorpe and her parents.  One of our cousins, Victoria Brooks, came with us, because Kit and McKenna were flying to a gymnastics competition, and my parents agreed to let her come with us.  Here's what we did on Saturday:
Chrissa shared a bed with Kanani, while Georgia, Victoria, and I slept on the other two beds.
After we got up (at 10:00 am!) and made the beds, we opened the blinds, ...
... and I stepped outside to view the sunrise.  Mother and Mrs. Thorpe made breakfast, and it was quite good.  We pulled on our swimsuits, and headed out to the beach for the rest of the morning until lunch.  Then we came back in, ate, dried off a little, and relaxed in the beach house.
When evening came, we pulled on our semi-wet swimsuits and headed back out.

"Kanani and I want to go down to the sandbar and find some shells." Chrissa announced.
"Yes," Kanani agreed, "there are loads of them down there."
"Do any of you want to come?" Chrissa asked.
"No thank you." Victoria said.
"I think I'd rather stay here." Georgia agreed.
"I'll stay here as well." I said. "Have fun!"
The water was at low tide, and a sandbar had formed.
Kanani and Chrissa talked while they walked.  I couldn't hear what they were saying, but they were both clearly enjoying themselves.
Kanani did her own hair!  Isn't it lovely?  She's quite good at doing her hair, which considering the amount of hair she's grown should not be too surprising.
"Look - they're coming back." Victoria commented a little while later.
Chrissa kicked off her sandy flip-flops. "We found lots of shells!"
Kanani showed us all the shells they found. "We even found parts of a sand dollar!"
"I bet there are living sand dollars out in the ocean, if you go out far enough." Georgia said. "There were loads last year."
"I would love to go see, but I think we need to head back." Kanani said, pointing at the setting sun.
We cleaned up all our towels and chairs, and walked back past the sand dunes.
"Ouch!" Chrissa gasped.  Several ants had attacked her!
After washing the sand off, we stopped to dip our feet in the pool.  The water was lovely and warm!
Also, we spotted a deer!  It was just nibbling at the grass, but when it heard us, it vanished into the brush.  It was so fun having one last beach trip!
What's your favorite thing to do while on a break?

To the Pool!

Hi all!  Today, even though it was cloudy, it was really hot, so after Elizabeth and I had finished all our school, Mom suggested that we go to the neighborhood pool, and of course we agreed!  My sister and I pulled on our swimsuits, slapped on some sunscreen, and jumped in the car.
"For the first time in forever I can finally go to the pool!" I sang happily.
"Are you singing 'For the First Time in Forever'?" Elizabeth asked, ducking her head as my hand narrowly avoided smacking her face.  "And you know that we just went swimming a month ago?"
"Yea, but it's more sentimental." I replied.
"We're at the pool, girls." Mom announced.
"Yay!"
Quickly, Elizabeth and I laid down our towels on the hot cement.
"Shall  we swim?" my sister asked.
"Let's go!" I said, jumping into the water.
"How does it feel?"
"A little cold at first, but nice once you get used to it." I replied, swimming on my back.
Popping back out, I told Elizabeth to hurry up and get in.
"I am coming, Chrissa." she replied, sounding a little annoyed and pulling off her cover-up.
 "Isn't it great?" I commented.
"Yes, it is." she agreed.  We had lots of fun swimming.  First, we played a 'copy jump' game, where one of us would make up a interesting jump in to the water, and the other person copies it, and then we switch.

After that, I kind of started water fight, because I was showing Elizabeth how when I swept my arm through the water, I looked like Elsa.  When I showed her, though, I sprayed her with water in the face.  Laughing, Elizabeth did the move back, and pretty soon we were flinging lots of water at each other and getting really soaked.  It was so fun!
After we had swam for about an hour and a half, the sun came out, so we laid on our towels to dry off, ...
 ... and then headed home.
The first thing I said when I walked in the door was
"I'm hungry.  Can I have some popcorn?"
"Sure, Chrissa.  Elizabeth, would you like some as well?" Mom wondered, pulling out a microwave bag of popcorn.
"That would be wonderful, Mother.  Thank you!"
We sat down and enjoyed the warm treat.  I can't wait until summer, when I can do this kind of thing every day!
Is is warm enough to swim where you live?

Swimming vs. Shoveling

Hello, lovely readers!  While most people to the north are shoveling their heavy snow, ...
... to-day Chrissa and I walked to the pool for a swim.
I rested my head on a plush towel.
"Do you want to swim?  Like, now?" Chrissa interrupted my thoughts.
"Perhaps in a minute; you go ahead."
"I wonder what the water feels like?" my sister asked, cautiously dipping her toe in.
"You have to come in, Elizabeth!  It's amaze!" she insisted.
"Very well; it does look lovely." I agreed, pulling off my soft cover-up and slowly slipping in.  The blue water sparkled in the setting sunlight as my sister and I splashed and swam.
Dripping, we climbed out of the pool.  Sitting on the side, we let a gentle breeze dry us off.
The weather this afternoon was wonderful.
"Can't we stay a little longer?" Chrissa pleaded, gazing longingly at the water.
"You know that we promised Mother we would be home by four o'clock, so we need to pack up."
My sister sighed.
"Okay."
Wrapping a towel around her shoulders, Chrissa and I gathered up our things and headed home.
Is it shoveling or swimming weather where you live?
