Mail on a Rainy Day

 Hello, lovely readers!  Since it's raining outside, to-day was the sort of day that you feel like curling up with a good book, which is exactly what I did...

 ... until Chrissa ran up the stairs and barged into my quietness.

"Hey Elizabeth!  Great news!  The rain let up for a second, so I ran out and got the mail, and there were two letters for us!" Chrissa said excitedly with one breath.

"From Marie-Grace, Liberty, Lexie, and Melodie?" I guessed.

"Yup!  Isn't it cool how we almost always get letters from them at the same time?"

"Indeed."

 Here are the letters from our cousins.

 Eagerly, Chrissa and I sat down to read our pen pals' words.

"Elizabeth?" my sister asked.

"Yes?"

"Do you want to write replies to these awesome letters, like, right now?" 

"Sure, that sounds like a lovely idea." I agreed.  So, we dragged our letter supplies out of the closet, ...

 ... and began to write.

"What do you think?" I inquired, holding up a white card with two red hearts below the message Happy Valentine's Day.

 "Oh, how cute!  I like the Valentine's day idea." Chrissa said, while busily snipping some paper.

When we finished our letters, Chrissa and I addressed and stamped the envelopes.  They are ready to go!

Five Ways to Use Seashells

 Hi all!  If you've ever been to the beach, it's likely that you'll pick up some seashells.  Then, when you bring them home, you're like "What 'shell' I do with these?"

I have your answer!  Here are five different ways to use those cute beach souvenirs!

 1. Jewelry!  I was inspired by the necklace (on left) that my cousin, Marie-Grace, made for Elizabeth, so I tried making some seashell jewelry myself!

 Do you see how all these shells have natural little holes?  They're important, because that's how you'll hang them on string.

Shells are a great fashion accessory!

 2. Frames!  You can place the shells in or around the frames.  I did both, as you can see.

Whether you hang them on a wall or sit them in a bookshelf, seashell frames look awesome!

 3. Under a glass table!  My mom loves the whole "beach house" theme, so she's the one who had this and the next two ideas.

 4. On you table!

 5. As a soap dish!  If you can find a shell large enough, that is.
Now you're ready to dig those forgotten shells out of you closet and put them to use!

Heart Braid Tutorial

 Hello, lovely readers!  Since it is quite rare that Chrissa or I do a hairstyle post, I thought that, for Valentine's day, I would show you a style my sister and I love ...

 ... the Heart Braid.

 You will need a...

• ... hairbrush
• ... squirt bottle (or some other means to lightly wet hair)
• ... small clip
• .. and a hairband.

1. Make sure your friend's hair is free of tangles, is parted down the middle, and lightly mist it.

 2. Take a tiny piece of hair near the back, and start to braid, taking small bits of hair from the left (or next to the scalp).

 3. When you approach her forehead, make a sharp turn and continue down her face-line.  Stop pulling hair into the braid a little bit above the ear.

 4. Proceed to braid normally.

5. Put a clip or a hairband on the end to ensure the braid does not unravel.

 6. Copy steps 2-5 on the opposite side.

 7. Gather both braids in clip/hairband.

8. You're done!  Enjoy!

A Blog Button and New Doll Clothes

 Hi all!  As you can see from the title, Elizabeth and I decided to make a blog button!

What do you think?  We agreed that this picture was the best one of both of us, so we used it for the photo.  If time allows, I'll stick it on the side bar after I finish this post.  If any of you have blog buttons, and would like us to put them on our blog, just tell us below in the comments!

 Also, I made some clothes for my dolls that actually worked! 

 I'd made some before, but they fell apart.

 Best of all, I didn't have to sew a stitch, because I used My Froggy Stuff's "No Sew Dress" video (the old one).

Feeling adventurous, I tried levitation photography with Nellie!  What do you think?

A Dress Discovery

 Hello, lovely readers!  Chrissa and I are now back from Daytona Beach, and won't be traveling for a while, which makes both of us happy.

 I was finishing unpacking, ...

 ... when I saw something pushed into the back of my closet.

 I gently pulled it out, ...

 "Chrissa!" I called to my sister, who was also unpacking her bag.  "Remember this dress?"

"Oh, yea!  You got it when we visited Colonial Williamsburg!"  Chrissa said.  "Hey, you should try it on."  I took my sister's advice, and was pleased to see that it still fit.  I asked Chrissa if she would take a few pictures of me wearing it, and she said yes.  Here are our favorites:
