What Do You Do With A Cloudy, Saturday Afternoon?

Sitting dejectedly on our couch, Chrissa said "There's nothing to do."
"You could write a letter." I offered.
"No, I just wrote Libby a few days ago." Chrissa replied.
"Read?"
"No."
"Practice Gymnastics?"
"No, because it's all wet outside from the rain last night."
"Call one of your friends?"
"No."
"Make something?"
"I don't fell like it."
"Play with your dolls?" I suggested. "We haven't done that for quite a while."
"That's a great idea!" Chrissa said. "Let's go grab them and play down here."
"Here, I made these for your dolls." I said, giving Chrissa a little pair of pants and a little pair of shorts.
"Thanks, Elizabeth!" Chrissa said happily.  "I've got to try them on Nellie."

 The pants...

 ...and the shorts.
"Do you like Beth's ponytail?" I asked my sister.
"Yes- it's really cute." Chrissa said.
We played with our American Girls all afternoon.  Chrissa and I had loads of fun!
Do you like American Girl dolls?

Decorating for Fall

Hello, lovely readers!  After school, Mother asked Chrissa and I if we wanted to decorate our house for fall.
"Of course!" we said in unison.  So, I pulled out all our fall decor and started decorating the table.

Meanwhile, Chrissa set up pumpkins and scarecrows downstairs.
Once I was done, I came down our stairs to help Chrissa finish.

"This looks great!" Chrissa said, clearly pleased. "Even if it doesn't fell like fall outside, it can look like it inside!"
"Yes, it does look nice." I agreed.
What do you think of our work?

Do you decorate for fall?

An Afternoon Shopping Trip

Hi all!  After Elizabeth and I finished our school today, Mom agreed to take us to Jo Ann's, since she needed to go to Target anyway.  We were so excited!  Mom dropped us off on her way to Target.
"I'll be back to pick you up in 35 minuets, girls.  Have a nice time!"
"Okay! Thanks, Mom!"
Here we are inside.  It's huge in there.
Elizabeth ran off to get some fabric.
"You just got some like, two weeks ago!" I told my sister.  "Why do you need more?"
"It isn't for myself, Chrissa.  It's for a gift." she told me.  Personally, I think she got some for herself, too.

So, I went off to find some black paint for a craft project.
But of course, I stopped to smell the flowers, even if they smelled like plastic.
 Where is that paint?
"Finally." I said.  "Paint."  I grabbed my black paint and went to find Elizabeth.  Passing through a isle, I saw something shocking.
"Christmas decor!  Already?!" I said in astonishment. "We haven't even celebrated Halloween yet!"
It's just sad.  I mean, this is WAY over preparation.  As Libby, my cousin, would say I'm offended.
This is what you should be selling, people.  Fall things.  Anyway, I finally found Elizabeth, bought our things, and walked outside to see Mom pulling up.  Perfect timing!
We had a nice shopping trip, and Mom got some fun fall decorations for our house, plus candy corn.  We'll be posting about that later.

A Sleepover with Julie and Saige

Hello, lovely readers!  Last Friday night, we invited Julie and Saige to come over for a sleepover.
"Good afternoon, Julie!" I said.  "Thanks for coming over."
"Saige and I were glad to come!" Julie said.  Looking around, she asked, "Where's Chrissa?"
"Oh, she grabbed a quick nap before you two came." I told Julie.  "Where's Saige?"
"She's-" Julie started, but didn't finish, because a ear-splitting scream echoed though the house.

Unknown to us, Saige had sunk up right next to Chrissa's face and said loudly,
"Hi Chrissa!"
Screaming, Chrissa quickly sat up.  "Saige, you scared me!" she said, looking hurt.  Saige and Chrissa came down the stairs, my sister came in the living room to talk with us, while Saige used the restroom.
"Chrissa, why did you yell like that?" Julie asked, frightened.
"Saige came right up to my face and was like 'Hi Chrissa', and it was so freaky!" Chrissa shuddered.  "I don't know why did she did it though"  she thoughtfully added.
"It's like she's mad or something." Julie said. "She has been acting strangely."
Saige had been listening through the wall of the bathroom, and she came out crying.
"I'm sorry," she sobbed, lying on the couch. "It's just that Tessa and Dylan are being mean to me, Mimi broke her leg, I can't ride the Picasso right, and I just can't do anything right!"
Chrissa and Julie piled on top of her, smothering her in a hug.
"Elizabeth!" Mother called from the kitchen, "Please come set the table!"
"I't okay, Saige." I said over my shoulder, running upstairs. "I'll be back!"
"We're here for you, Saige!" Julie comforted.
"Yes, we forgive you." Chrissa agreed.
"Thanks, you guys are true friends." Saige said, sniffling.  After a delightful dinner, we put on our pajamas, brushed our teeth, and climbed in bed.  We stayed awake talking for quite a while, but fell asleep eventually.
In the morning, Saige and I got up to make breakfast, since Mother was still sleeping.

Julie and Chrissa decided to take advantage of the Saturday morning and slept in.
While we were eating, Chrissa brought up her dream.
"I had this really weird dream.  There was this giant or something chasing me, and for some odd reason, I was scared that it was going to sit on me.  It did, and I woke up to find that Julie was lying on top of me." Chrissa told us, looking at Julie, who was smiling.
"Well, I had a strange dream too." Julie said. "The problem is, I don't remember it!"
Smiling at Julie, Saige told her "Julie, you have a serious case of bed head!"
After breakfast, Julie and Saige had to leave.  They are such a blessing, and Chrissa and I are so glad to have them in our lives.
